The Centre

The location and facilities of St George's West Church Centre make it an ideal meeting place and venue at the heart of the city. The building occupies a prime corner site on the main thoroughfare between Haymarket and Princes Street, its tower one of the city’s landmarks. (see map and directions).

Following a £500,000 redevelopment, St George’s West now offers a hall for large-scale functions (the Candlish Hall), a more intimate meeting room (the Shandwick Room), the Sanctuary and the gallery space above it. The Candlish Hall and the Shandwick Room are separated by a movable partition which can be drawn back to increase capacity to 200, which makes the space ideal for ceilidhs and parties. These rooms are available to hire for an assortment of events and activities from a small committee meeting, weekend conference or wedding reception. We are able to host groups of 5 to 500 and the lift insures all rooms are fully accessible. More information on room hire...

We hold a full Entertainments Licence and can provide catering and/ or bar facilities should you require them from the Olive Tree Café.

The building also hosts a variety of organisations that share our values.
