In January 2010 , St George’s West Church became part of a union with St Andrew’s and St George’s on George Street. This united the two congregations and two of Edinburgh’s most historic churches into one organisation under the new name of St Andrew’s and St George’s West.

Welcome to St George’s West Church, Edinburgh
St George’s West strives to be an open church, a safe and welcoming space for people seeking friendship, acceptance and affirmation and a creative space for the sharing of hopes and fears, visions and concerns.
At the heart of our church life you will find our worship and our outreach, both of which we declare to be inclusive of all and exclusive of none. Our welcome is unconditional.
The engravings on the glass doors at the entrance to our building read ‘welcome’ in five different languages – Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and Swahili as well as English - as it is our hope that not only white, Scottish, Presbyterians will find a welcome here.
