St Andrew's and St George's West Church Edinburgh: Volunteer Positions in the Church Office

The following positions within the church office are currently open to volunteers.

If you are interested in applying for one of these positions simply download and fill in an application form and return it to the church office.

Office Assistant

Purpose:

To assist the Church/Bookings Administrator with set tasks and provide general office assistance.

Dimensions:

The volunteer reports to Church and Bookings Administrator and Volunteer Co-ordinator. The volunteer would be required to work once a week for 2-5 hours a day, during office hours of 10am - 3pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Church and Bookings Administrator with a range of specific admin and room booking functions, these may include
- Distributing incoming post to tenants' trays.
- Assiting with the centre diary - cutting and putting labels in.
- Assisting with publicity materials and booking forms: preparing packs for enquiries - involves copying and stapling information and inserting into larger printed brochure.
- Order of Service - involves copying onto colour paper and cutting. (Fridays only)
- Mailouts - doing labels, photocopying and stuffing envelopes as and when required.
Attend any meetings and courses as may be necessary for the post.
Take instructions from the Church and Bookings Administrator and the Volunteer Co-ordinator and agree any additional tasks.
